HAIR "STRAIGHTENING" (myspace style)

Petit dimanche tranquilou à l'appart et j'en profite pour faire un post sur le lissage brésilien (ou en tout cas l'équivalent en Australie). 

Je l'ai fait il y a maintenant plus de 3 semaines et j'en suis plutôt contente. L'idée a germé lorsque je suis arrivée ici et que face à l'humidité, je ne voyais que cette solution pour maintenir une chevelure acceptable... 

Groupon fourmille de deals mais ce n'est pas évident de s'y retrouver entre traitements lissants à la kératine et "brazilian blow-out" mais je n'ai dépensé que 90 dollars (+ 50 pour shampooing et après-shampooing sans sulfate mais on peut trouver moins cher en grande surface). 

Attention cependant : ce n'est pas véritablement un lissage : les cheveux ne seront pas raides comme des baguettes, loin de là. Cependant, pour me coiffer avec mon fer à lisser ce matin, je n'ai même pas mis 5 minutes, et me sécher les cheveux est devenu une partie de plaisir (même plus besoin de brosse). Mes cheveux ondulent et je suis zen parce que fini les frisottis!! Je ne fais même plus un scandale lorsqu'il pleut et que je me suis séché les cheveux une heure avant :)

I'm spending a quiet Sunday at home and that's the perfect opportunity to post about brazilian straightening/blow-out/keratin treatment (whatever name you like).

I did it about 3 weeks ago now and I'm pretty happy with it. I started thinking about it when I arrived here and I didn't know what to do against humidity and the following hair crisis. This was (I thought) the only solution to get acceptable hair (and then I got a de-humidifier). 

Groupon is filled with deals but it's difficult to know what is what and I eventually took a straightening keratin treatment for 90 dollars (+50 for the sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, but L'Oréal is now selling a new natural range a lot cheaper I found).

Be careful though: this is not a real straightening, your hair won't be like the Japanese women's one. Nevertheless, you'll find it a lot easier to do your hair: this morning I just needed 5 minutes with my straightener and I even enjoy drying it (no brush needed anymore). My hair is wavy and I'm cool with it because no more fluff/frizz. I don't even scream when it's raining and I dried my hair just before (that's a good sign :p)
