Crochet is kinda fun

FR- Apres des semaines d'absence, je devrais avoir enormement de choses a raconter, et c'est le cas, mais je perds un peu l'envie d'écrire... Je n'ai pas publié de Ravelry Picks depuis deux mois puisque j'ai très peu utilisé le site. J'ai reçu plusieurs colis : Ice Yarns, Bergère de France, et Chouette Kit, et je me suis concentrée sur leurs patrons...

EN- After weeks without any news, I should have so many things to tell, and I do, but I don't feel like writing these days. I just come back from work and crash into bed... I haven't published any Ravelry Picks in a while since I hardly used the website... I received a few packages: Ice Yarns, Bergere de France and Chouette Kit and I mainly used their own patterns...

J'ai commencé le crochet pour de vrai :

Et en fait c'est bien moins dur que prévu (après m'être bien accrochée quand même pour faire quelque chose de régulier). 

Actually, it turned out a lot less difficult than I thought (still after a lot of patience and motivation to get something quite regular).

J'essaie de faire du jardinage contre vents et marées (et tempêtes). Après mes 4 avocatiers choyés mais qui n'ont jamais germé, je tente le framboisier. Mes parents m'ont dit qu'il devrait pousser tout seul... Puissent les dieux de la framboise les entendre!!!! En attendant il a tellement plu ce week-end que j'ai déjà peur qu'il soit mort inondé^^

I keep on  trying to do some gardening. After my 4th avocado tree which didn't grow, I am now getting my hopes up with a raspberry tree! My parents told me I shouldn't even have to do anything... May the berries gods hear that! It rained all week-end so I am already afraid it is flooded^^

Et enfin j'ai terminé ce pull à manches courtes Phildar qui me faisait de l'oeil depuis un moment (merci à Aline aux pays des mailles pour le patron ;) J'ai utilisé un mélange de coton, bambou et dralon.

Finally I finished this short sleeves Phildar sweater that I meant to knit for a while (thanks to Aline aux pays des mailles for the pattern ;) Used some cotton + bamboo yarn.

Je dois faire de jolies photos mais il fait suuuper froid et il pleut sans cesse donc ce ne sera pas pour tout de suite :(

I need to make on-body pretty pictures now but it doesn't stop raining so it'll have to wait for a while :(

Tomatoes / Basil / Capsicum

The capsicums are a bit slow to show up though!

Delicate part is tomorrow! Planting the tomatoes in the "garden"...

Les poivrons sont un peu lents à la détente en revanche!

La partie la plus délicate aura lieu demain au moment de replanter les tomates dans mon "jardin"...

Edit: Planted the tomatoes this morning! It says on the box to add fertilizer but I think they only sell it in bulk... My mother told me to make natural compost so I put strawberry leaves, banana skins... on the side and topped it with a plastic box^^ Will see... Will listen to her (for once u__u) carefully because she is a real green thumb. I have awesome memories of my childhood eating cherries, apricots, plums, tomatoes, radish, pumpkin, carrots, potatoes, strawberries, zucchinis... all from the garden! We had lots of trees and a huge veggie patch. Our Portuguese neighbour was amazing too, he taught my parents a lot about growing fruits and vegetable over the years and sometimes came over to help. We only had a tiny wall separating our gardens and we were welcome to jump on his side and pick up raspberries and currants (haven't had them in YEARS and can't find any here). He also had a rooster and chickens and we would have fresh eggs... :)

A NEW HOUSEWIFE HOBBY u__u

C'est vrai que de loin je fais un peu housewife, je cuisine, je fais de la pâtisserie, je tricote, je commence timidement la couture, et la liste ne fais que s'allonger... Habituellement lorsque j'entreprends une nouvelle activité je n'y connais pas grand chose mais je ne suis pas trop mauvaise a priori et à force de ténacité je deviens même plutôt habile. Mais alors en ce qui concerne le jardinage, c'est une CA-TA-STROPHE (attention référence pointue...) Toutes les plantes crèvent entre mes mains ! J'ai eu un bonsaï qui n'a pas survécu très longtemps, à ma décharge c'est ultra compliqué d'entretien et à 13 ans je n'étais pas forcément super soigneuse^^ donc oui il est tombé plusieurs fois, et les coups de ciseaux n'étaient peut-être pas si bienvenus que ça... Ensuite j'ai fait crever plusieurs cactus, pas assez d'eau ? Mais c'est un cactus non, ça vit bien dans le désert ! Trop d'eau alors ? Enfin bref, quelques plantes plus tard (tomates cerise et avocatier) j'en suis toujours au même point.
Well I have to admit that sometimes I may seem like a real old fashion housewife: I cook, I bake, I knit, I slowly start sewing, and hobbies keep adding up... Usually when I start a new activity I don't know much about it but I read a lot and quickly overcome any difficulties but with gardening, it seems like you need special powers to make it work! I am TERRIBLE at it. Every single plant I had between my hands died! I had a bonsai once but it survived only for a few months, well I was 13, it fell several times and didn't really like my 'haircut'. Then I killed a couple of cacti. Maybe not enough water? Isn't it supposed to live in the desert anyway?? Too much then? I don't know... Anyway a few plants later (cherry tomatoes and avocado tree) here I am!

Et j'ai craqué of course... Donc hop graines plantées avec mon amoureux (moi les poivrons et lui les tomates et un plant de basilic chacun - oui on est un peu compétitifs u_u).

Of course I had to get it... So John and I planted the seeds (as you can see we are a bit competitive u__u).

Les conseils sont pris, j'attends que ça pousse et je ferai une petite vidéo (photo prise tous les jours à la même heure !)
I took some advice and now just waiting for it to grow! I am going to make a little video as well, I take a picture everyday at the same time. 

Ensuite - partie suuper délicate - je replanterai dans le jardin... Souhaitez-moi bonne chance^^
Well then tough part is I'll have to plant it in the garden.... Wish me luck^^
